In the heart of Basilicata, between two villages considered among the most beautiful in Italy - Castelmezzano and Pietrapertosa - the adventure of the Flight of the Angel was renewed, as it is every year. The inaugural day (May 1) of this new tourist season (the eighteenth, until November 10) recorded a remarkable turnout: as many as 150 reservations were made in advance on the site - despite the uncertain weather - and 60 tickets were detached at the moment, thus confirming the strong interest of thrill-seekers and travelers looking for unique experiences.
This Lucanian attraction, although in operation for many years (since 2007), continues to arouse interest and curiosity, demonstrating its ability to engage and fascinate people of all ages and geographical backgrounds, many even from abroad (France and Spain in the lead).
Il Volo dell'Angelo is a journey suspended from a steel cable - at a speed of 120 kilometers per hour - that allows one to be enraptured by the beauty of the rocky spires of the Little Lucanian Dolomites. You fly - alone or in pairs - 1,500 meters, along a trolley that slides on a steel cable and safely, up to 600 meters above the ground.
Tickets, singles or pairs, can be purchased electronically through the online procedure at www.volodellangelo.com and allow for one outbound and one return flight, departing from a choice of either of the two municipalities hosting the lift stations.
